I think I am a reasonably fit bloke for a fifty something, but why do they make petrol pumps so bloody hard to squeeze? By the time I reach the top of the tank, veins are bulging in my neck and my arms are pumped up like Popeye.
Pity the poor people with arthritis.

I once suffered from inflammation of the tendons in my wrist and when I am filling my tank I am also aware of the unwelcome pressure. As you probably know in the USA it is possible to leave the nozzle on automatic fill so you are not squeezing all the time.
We used to be able to that in the uk, but some health & safety bright spark seems to think that we all have a grip like a vice.
Yes. What was the problem with automatic fill in the UK? It would automatically cut out when the tank was full so where is the danger?
You wouldn't like to fill the car in front of me at the garage this evening. It was a big 4WD BMW. He put £86 worth of juice in the tank.
I don't have a problem with them! (60 is the new 40, you know!)
Hey, Krip, I didn't realise you were still blogging. I'll put you back on my list. Hope you are both well. :)
Ooops! Just noticed the date and realised you're not. Still, I hope all is well with you.
